cuz i don't think i have a gaydar... so its hard for me to tell. i went to a restaurant last night and the hostess stared at me for what felt like an hour but only a minute i guess. then later, she kept looking at me... but i have low self-esteem so i think people stare at me cuz i'm ugly... or maybe cuz i looked like an odd-ball since i was with my dad's family and look nothing like them?... but maybe if something like this happens next time, i should give her my number? or do some people just stare cuz thats what they do?.. but if she liked what she saw, do you think she would've already given me her number? or is everyone on earth afraid of rejection like i am?.. i'm an idiot, so your advice would be greatly appreciated...

She might have been interested.
I have to say that I'm shy and insecure too with low self-esteem, so I won't have a good answer to your question. But I've gone up to someone who seemed to be staring and asked them if I had something wrong with my outfit or something stuck in my teeth, or did they just like what they were looking at. Sometimes I've gotten a number, sometimes I've gotten that "you're a freak" look. Maybe a lot of people are like us, afraid of rejection, so they won't offer their number.....
Rejection happens, pain happens, it makes you stronger. Work through the crap to make yourself happy.

aren't you the little freek? if she was taking your order at the time, then no - it was probably your crazed imagination. but if she kept glancing at you when her eyes should have been on her bizness, then yes! you should go for it. girls mostly don't offer their digits unless theyre really sure you want them. doesn't sound like you responded all that clearly.
