This might prove difficult. The damage has been done.
Before the USA and their puppies invaded Iraq, the Iraqi government held people in prison without trial, tortured them, threatened their families, cut them off from essential supplies. So what's changed? Now it's the Amis doing the same thing. Having exacerbated the problems between Sunnis and Shias and having completely ignored the fact that the Kurdish population are ethnically different but are, for the most part Sunni Muslims they think about walking away.
Maybe that would be the best thing. Admit defeat. Turn your back on a problem which you made. Vietnam sorted itself out after a while. Have the courage to admit that it was 'a bridge too far.'
Your standing in world opinion can't get much lower. You've nothing to lose.

The only way would be to bomb the terrorists off
the map, so those who want to live in peace, could.
We are trying to help those who want peace to get
it, but we are outnumbered by terrorists over there,
and that is why Bush asked for more troops. By the
way, it was a mess over there before US got there.
Innocent people who were not of Islam were mistreated
(chopping hands off, heads off, hot pokers) and killed
by those evil Muslims in Lebanon, Pakistan, Iraq, etc.

When America leaves Iraqi peace will be achieved after the slaughter of millions innocent men, women, and children. The peace will be short lived once the new Iraqi extremist government ruled by terrorist enjoys the fruits of oil revenues thus propping up terror cells throughout the world unlike anybody has ever imagined.
The far left might as well be known as the "New Butcher's of Baghdad".
There political hold will be short lived.

I don't think the mess was caused by Americans. The mess was there long before Americans went to Iraq.

Get the rest of the world to stop Iran from supporting all the terrorist murderers ('insurgents' for those who read the gaurdian) .
Iran has trained and armed both sunni and shite terrorists to ferment the civil war. Stop Iran and you stop the bloodshed.
China and Russia are too interested in the profits they can make from selling weapons and nuclear technology to Iran. They have no morals.

Get all the US & UK coalition troops out of there ...and let the mad Mullahs fight it out amoungst themselves...hopefully most of the Bad Guys will Kill each other...
