Believe it or not you are already on your way to being slim again. You've accepted what a lot of people never do, that it's your choices that got you where you are today. That's OK, don't be angry with yourself about that. Time to forgive yourself and look at those choices. What is it you're choosing to do that's causing this weight problem? It's likely there's many things you could identify. Change one of them. Replace it for a better habit. Do that for a week or two, or three, whatever it takes for it to become natural then work on the next bad habit. Keeping a journal can be helpful, it might enable you to identify the times, places, or people that cause you to over eat or eat or drink the wrong things.

You can be slim again, all you need to do is choose to be. If you can't do it on your own, join weight watchers. It's by far the easiest and most effective way to permenant weight loss.

Good luck

okay, well first of all, you accept the reasons why you are over weight, that is an excellent step, now have some self belief and control. IF you WANT to be thin again, you HAVE to exercise (just go for a twenty minute walk every night) and you HAVE to stop eating when you are full. You MUST NOT eat when you are bored, angry, sad, upset, lonely etc etc. Look at the reasons why you over eat, boredom etc, and find something else to do. Buy only enough food to get you through each day one at a time, so you can't gorge yourself stupid when the soaps are on. get an exercise bike(fifty quid argos), and slowly cycle your way through your TV programmes. You will have to force yourself to do it at first, but DO NOT miss a single night, or you will give up and have to start all over again, soon you will enjoy it, and feel odd when you don't get time to do it for whatever reason, it's addictive.

Mainly though, you know what you want, you know what you have to do, there is no excuse, everytime you want to just cabbage out, say to yourself, 'just do it'. Then go for a walk, and JUST DO IT! Unless it's cake, and then don't do it! Good luck, start now, and you could be two stone lighter in as many months, think about that.

Gosh have I been there. I was 242 just 1 1/2 yrs ago and have been heavy for 8 yrs. My highest weight was 290. I had convinced myself I was happy this way. Inside I really wasn't. It took alot of determination and change my way of thinking. It is very hard to lose weight especially with no support system. But if you change your way of thinking and really really want to do this you need to learn to tell yourself NO!!!! No to eating out of habit. Change the amount you eat. Add more fruits and veggies. Water is the key to alot of the habit hunger. Drink water when you know that you just ate and your not really hungry. Snack on fruits and veggies. Take walks around the block increase your activities in the day. Exercise is a must if only a 20min walk it will give you more energy to do more with time. I know its hard I have been there and still am. I am now currently at 165 but my goal is 140. You can do it truly you can. Don't give up. Leave little notes everywhere of positive thinking. The key thing is YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!! But only you can change you. Good luck and I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!

im currently on a health kick! i wouldnt consider myself overweight, but that i need to lose weight and get fit. i have joined a gym and im going 3 times a week for an hour. i go with my friend so its fun n we have a chat. also i take my ipod for a bit of music (helps me to run on the treadmill!!) also, i have just bought the davina workout dvd, its really good. its not like any of the others, which are just full of skinny blonde lasses trying to look good, it is really useful, and i do this twice a week. 30mins each time. im also a bit of a choc addict so i have decided to eat 3 healthy meals a day, but to not cut out my chocolate but to try and reduce it. its working so far... you dont have to cut out foods you like, it will just make you more upset. so i think if you eat everything else thats healthy and exercise enough (and yes it can be fun) then you can lose some weight. good luck and dont be angry with yourself!!! xx

You could always look in to Overeaters Anonymous if you feel that you have no control over this addiction and want to seek help and support. It is programme based on the famous Twelve Steps and has helped many people overcome a food addiction.

Don't give up hope - as long as you have the desire to give up overeating, you can succeed.

Maybe you cant do it because you have no incentive or you need to have other people doing it with you to give you support, I found this so I joined a weight loss club. The fact that you have to go back every week and weigh in gives you the motivation, i find.

i accept as true with working/ sprinting. i found that i lost weight maximum effectively whilst doing this. 30 minutes an afternoon will do it. i might make confident i drink 8 glasses of water an afternoon, sleep 8 hours (a minimum of 8 and below 10 or it could make you income wieght), much less sugar by using fact in case you dont exercising it off it turns into fat. additionally i wouldnt sit down consistently, save your physique shifting whether youre in basic terms status enables:)
