It would be hard to know how often they encounter but realistically the only time they would fight is if the tiger were coming to the water and the croc surged out at. If this happens the croc definately has an edge and if gets a hold on the tiger it will win. If on the other hand the tiger dodges the initial attack then the croc will probably just go back in the water and wait for something else to come along. Away from water the crocodile won't try to fight because that isn't its element. So I don't see many occasions when the tiger realistically wins unless it is a small crocodile and the tiger attacks on land.

As for frequency of encounters, I have no idea, but I would have to say the crodile would win, since, it's armored scales would protect it from anything the tiger could do, and all it would have to cripple the tiger would be to land one bite on a leg.

Since both are in India it would be hard to know!
I think the crocodile would win it's jaws are going into soft flesh as opposed to tigers into armored flesh?
It's only a guess! Couldn't find it in search engine

uh, im not quite sure. they could encounter each other. although both could win. if the tiger goes for the underbelly of the croc, its all over. on the other hand, if the croc gets a good grip on the tiger, then the score has been settled. it could go either way...

Croc would win, because the tiger will have no exposed soft flesh to bite or claw, and it can't hold the croc's powerful jaws open like humans can.
