is team india able enough to win the world cup? and if it is then will there be any particular player who will make the team win or will it be a joint effort?

Not sure If India will win the world cup. Not sure because our boys get disheartened no sooner they lose a game and become over confident when they win a game. The consistancy as a whole team lacks in our team. There are just a few consistant players like Rahul & Ganguly in our team who have consistantly performed and will do so in future. But we can only win if all the 11 players consistantly and constantly perform. So the moral of the story is Consistant Performance will get the World Cup. Lets see which team does that. My Best wishes to our Indian Team.

"United we stand, Divided we fall", correctly justifies the question given. Players of the the indian team are similar to the mechanisms in a human body.India is a body and the players are the different parts.imagine if either of the parts malfunctions.dangerous will be the consequences.same is the case with the Indian cricketors.it's a very good saying that DON'T WEEP FOR THE PAST NOR THINK FOR THE FUTURE,RATHER FOCUS YOURSELF ON PRESENT. Before going to tell why team India will win, it is better to analyze why others will falter. Australia was dreamt of one clinching the cup on the fourth time, but their morale has been shattered by the Kwiss, who are time and again beated by india , very convingly. Next contenter is the host, who are demoralized by indian at the home and will surely do in their place also. The Pakistan is a truncated team, where as Sri lanka are also beaten convingly and it is a morale booster. next Zimbavae they can be easily put under control. The only team to be recognised is S.African, which can be put to halt by now, as the trend is great here.
Match winner, first and finest will be Dhony, then Schewag while Tendulkar and Ganguly

Indian cricket team is now at peak whereas Australian team is not in full form due to lack of old and experienced players. Under these prevailing circumstances, Indian team is definately going to perform well and most likely to win World Cup 2007. It will surely be a team effort for success of any event but batting is going to be a strong point and amongst all, Mr Dhoni is likely is going to be a star performer.

There is no guarentee that India may lose or win the world cup. There is something lacking in the team that cannot be expressed. Even though my favorite cricketer is Dravid I feel that he shouldn't be the captain. If India interacts with each other properly and makes decisions well they might win.
When it comes to the match winner there is no idea. But I feel that Saurav Ganguly is lucky for the team.

India will never win a world cup with this team..
tendulkar- has become old and has lost his magic..
dravid- was reliable before he became the captain
kumble, dhoni,kaif, zaheer.... - all good only in indian pitches
ganguly- has just made showing some +ve signs.. too early to comment on him..
india went to the finals last time is all because we played with a poor low profile team-kenya in both super six and in semifinals. we all know what happened when we faced a mighty team like aus.
the current indian team is much poorer than the previous one. i am also a big indian fan and i also like u guys hoping india wins it.. but lets lets belive in reality that if such a thing is gonna happen, it will happen only if the team india puts some extra ordinary effort!!

Nobody can predict in such a big event. Whichever team is healthy and whichever team players are fully fit and plays nicely and win matches after matches from the start to the end final will win the game.
Australia has lost the No.1 position. Hence anything can happen.
