This was my first cycle and I was wondering if anyone had a great experience with clomid and did it work your first cycle??? Did you end up with multiples??? What do you think my chance of multiples are??? Also I am suppose to go back for blood work on day 21 of my cycle, what are they testing for??? I have already had a full blood work up before starting the clomid.

You are lucky! My friend had a great experience with clomid: had 2 large eggs after first cycle and she has a wonderful boy out of it (3 years old now.) The chance of getting multiples is said to be about 5-10%. On day 21 of cycle, your hormone levels may be checked and it may be also checked for any fertilization of the egg and possible pregnancy. Goodluck! Visit tis site: http://www.tryingtoconceive.com/clomid.htm

I conceived on Clomid 3 times. The first time I conceived the very first month. Unfortunately it ended in miscarriage. The second time took 8 months, but I had a mild case of endometriosis, which could've interfered with conception. The third time took 6 months. I would have ultrasounds done around day 13 of my cycle to check follicles, but I never had any blood work done after that, so I don't know what they are testing for. The only thing I can think of is to check if you have any hcg in your system which would mean you were pregnant. I was given hcg injections to help me conceive, so I had to wait until day 32 of my cycle before I could get a blood test to check for pregnancy. As far as your chances of multiples, my OB told me that Clomid only increases your chances by about 5%.

I have a friend who got pregnant on her first round of clomid with twins. Chances seem pretty good that you'll get two! The blood work may be to check for pregnancy? Not sure though. Best of luck.

Congrats, yet only a note of caution. Your progesterone aspect sounds easily fairly low for being pregnant. i imagine it will be round 15 to 20 minimum. you are able to prefer to study including your medical professional and characteristic them placed you on progesterone. i imagine I miscarried in August using low progesterone (my aspect grow to be 10). This time I had a aspect of 25 at CYCLE day 21 and that i'm now 8 weeks pregnant. solid success!
