Can anyone recommend a good quality makeup for sensitive oily skin. I normally use Pur Minerals, which controls my breakouts, but still my skin gets shiny about an hour after applying. I also use Clean and clear oil absorbing sheets, but after a few hours of oiling up, my makeup is gone. I am not able to use any kind of liquid foundation, so I like to stick to powder foundations. Please Help.

Bare Minerals would work for you - they have a finishing powder that controls shine, and because it is natural it will not clog your pores or make you break out. It is great for people with sensitive skin and it has a natural SPF. Keep using your oil absorbing sheets though...I think you will find that the Bare Minerals will not come off after you use them. Good luck!

I have exactly the same type of skin and what I use on a clean face is Mary Kay's Oil Mattifier. It's a lotion in a little tube which really seems to help, it forms a layer under your makeup and helps prevent those "oil slick" problems.

I also use the Clean and Clear oil absorbing sheets during the day, and then reapply powder. I use Cover Girl oil free powder out of a compact but I brush it on with a big brush rather than the little powder puff, it looks more natural and seems to stay fresh longer. Make sure to keep your makeup brushes clean.

Another good product is Mary Kay toner for oily skin, with salicylic acid in it for oil control and blemishes. But use it sparingly, it's not really made for sensitive skin, just use it around your T-zone.

Good luck!

I use Mary Kay and they have really good makeup that is good for your skin. They have stuff like cleansers too that will help with oil control. It's a little expensive but worth it, my skin looks totally natural. Oh, and I have SUPER sensitive skin and none of their products have given me a rash.

My skin is sensitive, oily, and very acne prone, so I like to use natural brands. Almay is really good about being natural and sensitive. I use Clinique which is slightly more expensive but gives full coverage and works really well with oily sensitive skin.

I used Clinque power, its like 18.50 and its loose powder that comes with a good lil brush. I loved it, then I moved to a very dry state from a humid state and my skin changed, I recomend it for oily skin, it makes my complextion very nice.

Before applying makeup, use an antiseptic day cream with active ingredients that diminish sebaceous secretions. Look for benzyl peroxide in the list of active ingredients.
