The state of Minnesota has gone Democratic in the last four presidential elections (by an average margin of 7%).

What's more, the people of Minnesota tend to like quirky candidates. Need proof? Allow me to introduce you to former Governor Ventura.

Can he win?

Normally I would say no, but in Minnesota you never know. But I still doubt it. He is too polarizing to far left. Even right now where the national politics are swtitch toward the left he is still to far to the left. Also there is a reason talk show hosts don't win public office. If that were the case, Rush, or Sean Hannity, or Bill O'Reilly would be in public office. If he ran for the house he would have a better chance.

I just saw the Stuart Smalley reference, and I love it. I remember he was on Saturday Night Live, but I only really remembered him as a fake news correspondent. It would be a shame for America if Stuart Smalley was elected to public office.

That depends on how transparent and serious he is with the people of Minnesota. If he dons a suit and plays the role of a middle-class citizen, he'll be fine. If he continues to play the provocative comedian/pundit, he'll look like a fool come November.

it is a sturdy question. The Governor of Minnesota has been requested to look on the only top votes solid to work out if any fraud replaced into dedicated. With ACORN in contact it really is somewhat in all danger.

No. He's too far to the Left. Minnesota likes moderates.

Al Franken is not quirky, he's insane. I hope that he doesn't win the senate election!

Based on their history, Bozo Frankin stands a good chance of being elected, sad to say.

Yes and then he will run for President.

Chevy Chase-vise president
Eddie Murphy-secretary of state ( whoops that won't work blacks only achieve such lofty positions with republican presidents)
Jane Curtin-secretary of defense (Whoops again women only achieve such lofty positions with republican presidents)
Will Ferrell- press secretary
Bill Murrey-secretary of the interior

Al Franken is more than just a democrat. He's a very liberal left wing democrat.

If he does win, then Rush should run and be in the senate also. Then those two can have live cage matches before Congress gets underway everyday

I hope he gets elected. But I would rather see Louis Black go to the Senate.
