this question is brought on by some events that happened a couple days ago. a man was found to be having an affair, his wife moved with some of his kids he seemed sorry but still dates the mistress. In order to have visits with his kids and to avoid being financially ruined (so he says) he told his wife the affair never happened and he wants to work it out. she has allowed him to have the kids two nights per week with her there at the house but he has made arrangements with the mistress (a close friend of mine) to see her on the days his wife and kids are not there he says he loves his wife but he is in love with the mistress. men can this be true? isn't it better and more fair to each women to be honest or are men really that afraid of what they will loose in a divorce? can a married man love two women? or is he just a dog?

i do not think they can love two women at the same time, he doesn't want the divorce because of the kids, and a divorce could be costly to him, he will most likely go back to the wife once he is finished with his mistress, or when the mistress makes too many demands. he probably doesn't love his wife but knows if there is a divorce, his life will change drastically. he wants his cake and wants to eat it too. he is using both women, telling lies, getting the best of both worlds. the mistress has no future here.

I believe it's possible to love more than one woman. However, i think this type of arrangement would create so many problems for all parties.
I'm divorced now, but i have 4 Girlfriends that i date on a regular basis, and all know about each other. All of them know that i don't plan to marry again in my lifetime. I love these women very much and sex doesn't enter into how i feel about each of them.

I don't like men who carry on with mistresses while still married, it is so disrespectful to both women. I could never do it without everyone involved being amenable to the whole situation.

I believe a man can be in love with one woman and in LUST with another. There are many people (both men and women) who are in committed relationships yet crave something more, hence affairs. My personal feeling is if this guy is unwilling to give up the mistress, he needs to divorce his wife and move on with life. My other feeling is if he has a mistress now, divorces and remarries, how can his next partner be sure he won't do it again...seems to me he's searching for the greener grass on the other side.

no if u are dating someone else there is a problem with that relationship either the wife is giving now sexytime or something else. i feel if u have to cheat then the relationship is dead. might as well call in the divorce courts. ted i would not say then man was the b word remember it also takes the woman to tango to. so remember there is always two sides to a story. not all men cheat remember and alot of women cheat to. i have a friend who is dating a married women. she sould know better. he just likes it its sex to him. he does not care for her as she cheated on her husband why would he take the risk in her cheating on him later on. once a cheat always a cheat.

Time for a history lesson. The human race hasn't been upright for very long. Way back in the day possession by males as shown by strength, dominance, numbers and procreation. This is similar to traits shown by many other animals and not just dogs in the present day. As we as humans develop, ultimately men may get to the point where they don't feel the need to spread the seed.

If you are asking if a married man can love another woman...my answer would be Yes. But I would not agree to what the guy on your story is doing.

I mean...your wife is your wife...one and only. You may love another woman for reasons beyond your control, so be it, and don't be a hypocrite to say that you don't if by chance it happen to you....BUT....subdue yourself to stick with your wife...and don't fool around.

I hope I was clear on that.

Most scoundrels will get away with all they are allowed to get away with ,plain and simple.Even if the divorce would cost him, cheating on the woman who he made a commitment to is just poor character and while your friend would like to believe that he loves her so much he will treat her any differently,he will treat her the same as he's treating them both right now.The reality is very clear to those who choose to see,

I can't even do it in a serious committed relationship (not married). You know why? Because I value my own integrity more than that. I'm not an actor, I can't lead a double-life (it's too much trouble and only leads to more mental and emotional problems). I am who I say I am.

I'll say it again (and it's unpopular here): it's a character issue. Show me somebody with integrity issues, and I'll show you somebody who's really emotionally stunted or confused.

No, he doesnt love his wife. He loves the second woman otherwise he would be his wife. His wife and family is sth he is used to so doesnt leave them. Thats what I think.
