I need a short story for the course of story telling in university

i told a story very like this one for the same course at uni and got a good grade.

My suggestion would be anything by Flannery O'Connor. Most stories are only about 5 pages, southern Gothic, shocking writing, with a very movie twist for endings. Characters with interesting names, lots of description, easily one of the more theatrical writers i have ever read. I suggest "A Good Man is Hard to Find" or perhaps "Good Country People" She has an anthology of short stories in most libraries. Both of these stories are very creative. The first one in particular takes place in limited space if set is an issue. Hope this helps, even if the story isn't perfect for this situation, you should read some of her work just for fun.

What about the O. Henry story "The Gift of the Magi" ? It's a very famous story and should make for very good play acting.
