Not funny at all. I think it is THE LEAST they should have to do. Need to show that they are serious about the new country they are wanting to be a part of and participate in. Funny that people who are born here don't know most of the things on the test. Funny and sad.

Robert Heinlen wrote the book (later a movie) Starship Troopers in which you culd only get citizenship by joining the military - demonstraing your willingness to die for your country.
They want to introduce a test like that (the 140 question quiz, not the army) to Australia. That will be fun. If they make it a retropctive test 2/3 of the country will be in trouble.
We are mostly descended from drunks and theives - what use is hostory to us!

I do think it's funny, in the sense that people who are already citizens should have to pass the same test in order to be able to vote. What a different country we would be...

The Liberals argue that they are the more desirable sensible knowledgeable, and they could be top about the type of hours they sat in a school room, yet there are all sorts of ideas for someone to attain intelligence, formal practise is in elementary words easily one of them. My very last boss has a Pilot's license, holds an operating engineer's certification, that's what you want to operate the tremendous cranes that construct skyscrapers, He has an Aluminum AND glass contractor's licenses in Florida (that's how i recognize him) or perhaps as he has an particularly heavy Spanish accessory (Ecuadoran) his vocabulary and grammar are in a lot of ideas more desirable sensible than mine. briefly, he's between the best human beings i recognize, and he has NO college. Who might want to wager that between Obama and Bush, it might want to be Bush who's monetary numbers a lot more desirable heavily resembles Clinton's and also you'll say what you want about Clinton, the monetary gadget replaced into respectable below him. inspite of if he replaced into busy pulling the pins out of a basket finished of hand grenades to pass to his successor, which became out to be Bush, it really is glaring that Clinton knew the timer replaced into no longer set to pass off till six or seven years in, only in case Algor had received. .

Have you ever seen Jay Leno when he gets people off the street and tests them? That stuff is hilarious. I can't believe that people born and raised here don't know the simple stuff about our American History.

I think they should have to pass an English test. Speak, read and write intelligible English. Speak whatever you wish in your home, but in public, English only.

Let's try it. Give me a link to an online test, I bet I could pass it on the 3rd or 4th try anyway.
