ok. so i want to buy an ipod and i want to put the music i have in media player to it. how does that work? when i download itunes would the computer automatically fin the other music i have in it and put it to itunes?

If you buy an iPod you have to download the latest version of iTunes from the Apple website first. Once you do that and get it up and running, it's easy to connect your iPod and upload or download music (iTunes is pretty user-friendly). One thing you need to bear in mind, however: Certain file formats will not download to iPods or any other type of MP3 player. If the song you want to download is in Windows Media Player format and it has a digital protective signature, you can only download it and play it on your computer -- you'd have to buy the song from iTunes or Napster or Rhapsody or Yahoo Music or some other music service to get a version that iTunes will allow you to download to your iPod.

Depends on the format of the songs
Some you can drag right into your iTunes library. Others you may have to burn to a CD and then load the CD into your iTunes library

u have to stick ur ipod in the back of ur pc or computer or laptop and the program a come up and u go to library you also have to have limewire then u search songs on the and u click and drag the song to the libray hope this works

when you get itunes you can tell it to look for all the other music on your computer and then you'll be able to transfer it all accross. its very easy actually.
it'll be step by step when you get the itunes disc with your ipod.

It should search for music, and if not you can select the "add a folder to library" option.
