The answer is a resounding YES. I got reported for joking about Blair and was told that if I put a foot out of line again I would lose my Yahoo account etc. Well for goodness sake, it was only a JOKE. I have seen some awful questions on here which I mostly laugh at although some have made me cringe! One person told me they got penalised for writing in capital letters! apparently it means you are shouting! Come on everyone, lets just have fun and forget about the PC brigade!

Very true and this has been brought about by the Politically Correct brigade. People are now frightened to make any sort of fun about anything for fear of, believe it or not, Police intervention. Say the wrong thing in a crowd and some silly twit will report it and the Police will be round your double quick. Report a burglary and they take 4 days to get there. Also people are so wrapped up in earning a living and paying the ever increasing household bill that any enjoyment that is around now only comes at a price.

It was always the same. I avoid a lot more than I did years ago but life is much more peaceful when I can look at what I am going to send someone and think before I send or they can get deleted so they think twice. I stay home as much as possible and when I go out I am prepared to enjoy myself and take the high road if anything would seem to get sour. If you are getting crotchety you can do a lot to make yourself feel better. So drink water, make sure your blood sugar isn't low or just eat a healthy snack, exercise after you take a shower to cool off the get back in and be thankful if you do have a shower and water and a place to live. I am just thinking out loud and don't mean anyone specific needs to do this just thinking of what I do to keep the old crotcheting from going wild.

I don't think people are too easily offended these days it's more that people are becoming more offensive. I think everyone knows hiw to take a joke, especially if they know the person who its coming from. but are the jokes actually funny. 99.9% of the time, no.

I suspect that many people have been conditioned by the news media, particularly television, to confuse being offended with being right. Righteous indignation is worn like a badge of rectitude.
I often wonder what would happen if people turned off their televisions for 30 days.

Some people seem to have been brainwashed to feel permanetly offended or aggrieved. I think it's a combination of no sense of humour and the compensation culture.

I'm all for being tolerant - it's what makes life so interesting everybody being different but walking on egg shells in case you offend is irritating and stops freedom

Most of the people who say they are offended at something aren't really offended; they are simply doing their best to get their hands on some extra God, sorry money...

That is because of the lack of humility in this world. Too much pride and arrogance, especially the younger generation.
