Because Simon Cowell is a moron wrapped in an idiot and stuffed in an imbecile. I have known her father Michael for years (he and I were groomsmen in my brothers wedding).
I have been amazed by Robin's exceptional talent, and Mr Cowell couldn't find talent to save his miserable life. Respectfully submitted, Mark

Just because you are good enough to sing with Justin Timberlake on the grammy's doesn't mean you are good enough to be on American Idol. Alot of the artists on the Grammy's and who sell millions of albums are great singers, just good ones who have more hype than talent. While although many are boring, the people chosen for American Idol are usually more talented than many. Brittany Spears, or Justin Timberlake may not sing as well as some American Idols but they have something that make them popular, a personality that transcends talent.

I don't know, I don't always agree with American Idol taste. I love Kelly Clarkson, but after that I just haven't gotten into it. Robin did an amazing job at the Grammys, though.

I noticed that! I don't know, I think American Idol was taped this time, before the Grammys, which were live.... They lost a good one, because she did wonderful with JT...

Yeah, at first I just thought it was a look alike but last night I was sure it was her, too. Why do some people get all the breaks? I think her AI group day performance was really bad from the looks of it. She sure has the last laugh!

are you sure she was on american idol? when i googled her it only shows info about her grammy performance. they gave her a recording contract so there would be no point to trying out for idol.

I was wondering that too...probuly because American Idol don't know who is good or not.
