Do you think it will ever be possible one day?

Weird question I know. Maybe it's the prednisone and cipro i am taking for my pneumonia that is bringing the weirdness out...

i don't believe it is possible in a physical body to travel backward into the time which has passed- we, as humans, inhabit the space we are literally in. However, whatever is "spiritual", the consciousness we individually possess, perhaps that energy can travel through time. But as of yet, there is no scientific way of proving this kind of travel.

And, of course as Einstein proved, the faster a conscious life form should travel toward the speed of light, the shorter the time he/she would experience compared to those left behind on the home planet. A few short years traveling at the speed of light, were it possible, and everyone you knew and loved would be long dead and you would be very much in the future from the physical age you would have been on your home planet!

I feel for you, I'm prone to pneumonia, and have a scar on my lung from the countless times I've endured the sharp shallow endless days unable to breathe. But as for time travel, I believe I have discovered a 'sort of method' to experience it. Bozo that answered your question first is not open minded enough to conceive that travelling in time could take you back and forward. As apposed to just forward. Have you heard of a plant called Saliva Divinorum? It is directly related to Salvia Officinalis (regular sage used in many cuisine) Well I met Salvia Divinorum (aka diviners sage) one year ago. Mexican Shaman use it when there are no fly argaric mushrooms around for use in their healings. You can chew it or smoke it straight from the plant. In my experiences it transported me back to a time and place in my past that I could fully recognise. I could see myself in these "i remember that" scenes, and watched things unfold as they did when I was doing it. Sometimes rather uncomfortable sensations go with these 'travels' but the experience will forever remain exceptional. I have a theory as to why this plant exists. The experience is so strange that it is difficult to explain to anyone. Sometimes, like after waking from a dream, the memory fades, sometimes you remember nothing. This is typical of a schitzophrenic episode, they cannot recall the event. I believe in the power of the human mind to make manifest. I think that in their stinging desire to be understood, the mentally ill have unknowingly manifested this plant, so that those who care to listen, watch, and experience can gather something of an understanding. I believe it is good. It is a shamanistic tool that is to be respected. But I believe it is good. It is the closest thing to real time travel I've ever encountered.

I seriously don't think it's possible. However, if one could time travel, I would want to go back to the past and get to the truth of many matters. I would want to, for example see Jesus and see what He was really like. I would want to meet my grandfather who died in the second world war. I'd want to see what my parents were like as teenagers. I would want to go back to myself as a teenager and tell myself to stand up for myself and take some chances. And witness various historical events. The possibilities are endless. Now, if I could turn invisible.... (there's actually technology for that now, except they can't eliminate the shadows that are created).

Physicists take for granted that if one were to move away from the Earth at relativistic velocities and return, more time would have passed on Earth than for the traveler, so in this sense it is accepted that relativity allows "travel into the future"

I don't think it's possible according to Einstein. You can only slow down time relative to another location as you approach the speed of light.

I have seen weirder questions! I don't know if it will ever be possible, but it is a cool thought. Don't know if I would be brave enough to try. Too afraid of getting stuck!

This is not a wierd question at all. In fact, you may be one of the few who will be open to my answer. Time travel is real. I know because I am from about 200 years in your future.

nope. as much as i want and wish it to be possible, time is something we cannot alter. think about this, if we are able to change time, will we have special moments? will we ever learn not to do things? so, if it will be possible, it would be wise for man not to tamper with time.

We do travel through time, one second per second and a tiniest bit slower when we fly.
