Why can't I find any sense in life?

Everybody goes through times of confusion and despair in their lives, it's part of being human, not a fabulous part, but a definite
slice of the human agenda. What to do? Depending on the seriousness of your situation, you might consider taking some courses that interest you, or possibly seeking counselling, the extent of which will depend on your current state of mind. Try re-reading one of your favorite books or seeking others by the same author. Don't despair, these are confusing times and many are searching for solace,you are not alone. Keep busy and seek others to communicate with. Share your ideas and dreams, you might find someone to ignite those intellectual fires you obviously haven't awakened yet.

Because there isn't any sense in it, we often wonder what is the meaning of life, and think we can get some great answer. So many things seem so illogical, like why can we have children years before we need to, but just as women want to start their families in their forties, fertility is dropping. So nature has no logic. Life is cruel at times and ones dream are often so much better than reality, as so many people suffer in this world, and it is often the good who do. I guess if things did make sense everything would run smoothly and this world would be a great place to be, but little does and that is why life isn't so great.

Hello there,
When I see a question like this, it makes me wonder what is this person really going thru. Though in my youth I had no idea what life was truly about, I sought to know the truth. Distracted by peers, unbridled lusts and a deep rooted anger kept me from really focusing on what I once in my adolescene believed to be true. Now as a adult raising a child, I see the menaing of my life does not lie with me, but with the one who created it. But to say something like this can open the door to ridicule, and questions that I am not able to answer.
If you cannot depend on something greater than yourself to give you purpose, then youll have to find it for yourself. I can list all the attributes, but it will not change your perspective of life. A scripture in the bible has a verse below that basically says chose whom you shall serve, either the god that is of the spirit, or the god that dwells and roams the earth. If you seek to understand this, and you find the answer, then perhaps you will be inclined to seek more. Life has plenty of sense, it just seems like its a madhouse sometimes, but then again, it is.

I think that when you look for meaning or contentment outside self life can seem senseless and every action like grasping after the wind - there is no focus, direction or purpose because things are ever changing and coming at you other that originating from you. Understanding yourself helps you find the sense and essence of life. You may not understand all things but that fact keeps you seeking, learning, evolving and having fun with the situations that shed light to troublesome stuff. A victim gives in but we are mainly victims of our own minds in adulthood.

Dear Tulip, Life has a huge purpose. You do your daily chore and perform your duty well. Herein lies the purpose.Enjoy doing various things. Bring out your talents and take interest in others and be a part of their happiness and contribute towards this. Helping others would make a lot of sense.

I think you mean meaning right? Maybe because the meaningfull thing's seem meaningless to you? try not to focus to much on the big things that you can't control and make sense out of. Instead work on the small thing closer to you,

life sucks i know we live in a mean world and then we all end up dieing when it's our time. yeah it makes no sense to me

Because you never found it in yourself... It is never outside of you...
It is the adrenaline when someone you love kisses and hugs you...
it is the growth of your mind... and the sharing of it.
It is the will that endures even if everything doesn't turn out right...
It is living in welfare to get a job that will pay BIG after six months...
It is living you life...
It is giving your heart...
It is sharing you mind...
It is using your body for your glorious day...
