Most definitely! Your body is carrying a lot of extra weight, which can give you shortness of breath. Also, your tummy area is expanding to make room for the baby.
With my first pregnancy, I couldn't sit up straight without it hurting. I was in good shape my whole pregnancy, I swam and walked everyday, but something as simple as walking upstairs would give me shortness of breath. When my son was born he 8 lbs, 12 oz and 22 inches long! By the time he came out, his feet where under my chest, that is why I was having troubles sitting up!
No worries, you are perfectly normal to experience some discomfort.
Congratulations!

I feel your discomfort. I am 30 weeks along and it is horrible especially when I lay down to go to bed at night. I don't know if you feel the same thing or not but, when I lay on my back I have such a hard time trying to catch my breath and the pressure that you feel on your lungs. It is very normal for you to feel that way. This is my fifth baby and I have felt that way with every one of them. As for the pain that you are feeling under your ribs, it is just the baby most likely pressing on a nerve that is causing some pain under your ribs. Just think, it is coming to an end real soon but, I know how you feel and that is , the last two months are going to go by so slow. Good luck to you and I hope that your baby behaves and gives you some relief real soon.

So normal, welcome to what the rest of your pregnancy will feel like :) This is about the time when most women begin feeling uncomfortable, the honeymoon phase has passed! With my first I thought I was going to keel over, she had her foot up under my ribs and I couldn't bend over, it hurt to breathe, sneeze, cough, you name it. My husband had to put my shoes on me and help me step in and out of the shower because it hurt so bad, but she was perfectly healthy and is now almost 6!! Hang in there, if it gets too bad try laying on your side, they say the left is best, but the right worked for me, it'll ease the pressure :) Congrats, you're almost there!

YES,,most definitely. It's either a foot or his tush pushing up and underneath your ribs. Quite painful I can agree. (39 weeks with a healthy sized little boy) The best thing to do is lie down or change your position to walking or sitting. Just do whatever you have to and he/she will move with you. Congratulations and good luck in the future.

Yes that's normal. The baby has all your organs including your lungs pushed in foreign directions. You Dr. may need to give you an inhaler for comfort. I always have to take an inhaler between 28 and 37 weeks.

Very normal. The last ten weeks I felt like i couldn't take a normal breath. It is just the baby moving and stretching( and growing!).

Hang in there!

Very normal. The baby's getting bigger and running out of room, so it's squishing up into your ribs and pushing on your lungs.

I'm 26 weeks with my 2nd baby and he/she tends to stay on the right side or low in the middle. I can't ever remember feeling the baby on the left side unless I was laying on my left side and sort of leaning on my tummy some. When I am on my right side, back, sitting, standing or moving around, he/she is mostly on the right side and sometimes in the middle(very low like right on top of my pelvis and only when he/she is rolling over and over).

Yes.... its normal, your baby has found new space to play in. As he/she moves over the next 9 weeks it can be painful. I just pushed the baby downwards when they got too wiggly up there and move my position to allow them better room. Goodluck

Definetly! And expect it to get worse! I hated that period... It usually lasts until your baby drops lower as you get closer to the due date. Once your baby drops, you will notice you have a lot more room to breath.
