I would have tended to agree with you up until recently - with the rise of all the 80's & 90's nostalgia groups - you know the one's - suddenly realise they can make money out of the people again, as if they didn't already have enough money!
But, I have to say - being a bloke and all that and not even liking anything they had done when I was younger - they are better than I remember and put on a damn good show!
Credit to them - I saw a couple of the 'nostalgic' bands recently and they were outshone by the warm up bands - Take That were bloody good!
Sting and Co - take note - don't bother !!

Personally, I am not a fan of boy bands who seem to produce a load of commercial, contrived and soulless c*ap to brainwash the teen population. However, whilst I agree that there were probably better and more innovative British singles that should have won the Best Single award, Patience is at least a worthwhile winner. Well done to the Arctics and the Killers for picking up their gongs, thouroughly deserved!

The brits may well be a waste of time ... but did you hear the crowd. Take That may well be a bunch of ex-boy stars, but they still have the support of the majority and maybe now they are writing and doing their own thing they may even have the credibility.

Brits are a waste of time to be honest. There is better artists around can't argue there. Its all about who makes the record companies mega bucks and silly teenage girls who buy cd's.

Take That are FANTASTIC and have made a come back after being away for ten years and getting to number one with their return album and single. They are wonderful and I'm very happy they are back! The industry thought they deserved a Brit and that's why they got one...
