Coming down like an armageddon flame...?

How does that work exactly?

Wow, think about it...before the first drop hits the ground. There is a silence in the air, you hear a crackle, then a hum, a small beeze will engulf you, and then it sounds like boulders touching down. Cool huh

In days of yore people thought lightning, purple clouds and red dawns were all signs from the skies, and were afraid of flames coming from the sky. There are mediaeval paintings showing villagers running from flaming clouds, probably meant to instill fear in the less godfearing populi.

I do not know what armageddon would sound like, though I am sure it may sound like a massive rock hurtling through the sky that has Bruce Willis on it looking tough - possibly silent though. The genteel pouring of rain, even 'hard rain' (a better film with Morgan Freeman, actually) probably sounds nothing like it.

Now how is all that, for a serious answer in an otherwise unassuming category?

I thought your question was going to be :
Can you hear the people sing, singing the song of angry men.

I could hear the rain earlier but it has eased off now.
Not sure about the Armageddon flame though
