It sounds like a yeast infection/rash. You can get one anywhere on your skin (I'm pregnant and I had one on my belly a couple months ago!). My son had a diaper rash once that was yeast and it was red and itchy and had white dots. Yeast grows out of control in a warm moist enviornment.

Get some over the counter yeast/anti-fungal cream (monostat?) or lamisil and try that first - and make sure to always thouroughly dry yourself after you shower before you put your underwear on.

It sounds as if it is a strain of the Herpes virus. There are 7 strains in all.
Since this is a virus it will remain in your body all of your life and will flare up occasionally. You will need to abstain from sex during a flare up.
To be sure of exactly what you have you will need a blood test.
Even if you have no present symptoms, the virus will show up in a blood test. Be careful! Some STD's can kill you.
Go see your physician.

This has been going on for how long? Four months!! Go to the doctor. Quit messing around with your computer and get checked out professionally.

Whatever it was, the fact that the symptoms disappeared doesn't mean that you don't still have an infection. See your doctor and get a blood test for STDs.
