Yes, alittle toast would be alright, but make sure you remove the uneaten toast when he is done so it does not mold in the cage! Don't but anything on the bread and i'm guessing if the bread had more grains they would like it better then plain white bread.
Wow your lucky when I wake up my hamsters are sleeping away! They go to bed at like 7 am and wake up at 7 pm!

Yes, hamsters can eat just about anything, although I wouldn't recommend feeding them just anything. We have a couple, one is 2 and a half years old (which is so not normal) and they eat toast, crackers, fruits, veggies and the occasional yogurt covered raisins. If he likes it and you aren't seeing any adverse affects.....Feed on, he'll be a happy little guy

I don't think it will hurt him , my kids used to feed their hamsters toast, cereal,(he loved cheerios) and crackers. They only have a lifespan of a year or two anyway, so where is the harm??

An itty bitty piece without butter or jam shouldn't hurt. If you wanted to put fruit jam on it I wouldn't do it every day, save that as an occasional treat.
Make sure your jam isn't on the "bad list" of what fruits & veggies not to feed hammys

Yes you can.
Hamsters are omnivores, meaning they eat vegtables and meat. why not try left over pasta (small bits), rice, potato. They also like sweet things. You can try them with - yoghurt. somethings he will like some he wont - its a case of trial and error.

Yes unless you see any signs of sickness. Don't put butter or anything on it. Keep it soft kind of and you should be fine.
