Stop following foot steps of so called modern people of India and start believing in yourself.Teach people not to give attention to artificial beauty and pay attention to real beauty inside them.

What's happened was in the past. Most of those people who ruled India are dead. So there is no point in holding that against them.

Imitating the West is not a real crisis. The problem for many people is that they find it difficult to move on. But India has moved on in many ways if we think about it. We ourselves have left many traditions behind us, for example, the practice of sati in India.

When you say ‘the West’ it seems that you are referring to a particular group of people. But the West has changed far too much for you to say that Indians are mimicking them. Today, ‘the West’ represents multiculturalism. So when you refer to ‘the West’, you are referring to people of all cultures, ethnicities, religions, and colours.

Oppression is still strong in India, and you perhaps won't feel it unless you're living through it. Time to do something about that - don't you think?

we imitate and look up to the west just because we still feel oppresed.how can people who have been subjected to 200 years of oppresion and have been slaves, how can think to be freeand think different from the west.most of the things in our country is "not indian".our constitution is full of laws which were made during the british time.so in the indian constotuiton there is nothing indian.the idea of five year plannin has been taken from the west.
we always find inspiration from the west.we never realise our potentials.we never try and build our own infrastucture and resources so as to improve our country.why to compare ourselves with anyone.just look at opur own progress.forget the **** wat usa and britain r doing.we provide food to our whole population but are building multiplexes and developing the cities to international standards.why upgrade to iinternational do something which makes our standards the international standards.
in the end i will say there is only one way to solve this problem.history has to repeat itselfand provide us with leaders like lal bahadur shastri, raja ram mohan roy and others so that they can again dwell our past and make us proud of it and manke us realise what enormous wealth and heritage we have which if we feel good about about no country in the world can stand before us

This is an era of globalisation. Even Indian festivals are celebrated in the USA, like Diwali was celebrated by the US President. Indian ethnic dresses and cuisine has become so popular in other countries. The mixing of cultures is inevitable so why crib about ethics and morals, the basic values are same all over.

In Australia for instance where more like a little America than ever before and that will continue, YOU MUST BE STRONG TO RESIST ! otherwise the world will be a very boring place as we will all have to pick a number to become the next US State I think were picking 53rd ! probably beaten by a couple. Because imitation and mimicing is easy! One need not make any mental or physical efforts. Our educational system also teaches us imitation and mimicing, to get cirtificates or sheepskins. Individuals who have independent thoughts and views are not encouraged by our educational systems. Our educationalsystems are goodat creating imitating and mimicing slaves. However mostly masters are self-made, with hard work and dedication in their choosen fields.

Because similar with a lot of other countries, western culture (i.e. products, thought, concepts, behaviors, etc) has deeply infiltrated their lives, through media, to the point that western culture has become the standard for a lot of things. And then being that they've become standards people try to conform to them. The west have marketed themselves so well they were able to sell their culture, sadly, to the point that many try to blindly imitate and adopt it.

Our society continually panders to the mediocre, which feels like the majority way of thinking. Everyone wants to be like everyone else. So if everyone thinks everyone else is mediocre that is what everyone will try to imitate. It sucks
