I just bought snow tires 235/60 Firestone, winterforce, and put them on some rims that I didn't check the size of, and now they,re rubbing against the tierods. What is the largest size I can run without having this problem?

the offset/backspacing of the wheels will determine what the width is that you can put on without any problems

not the width of the tires themselves

the wider tires you go then then more backspacing of wheels you will need

but this will in turn push your tires out of the wheel tubs/fenders more

so there is a limit to tire width AND wheel backspacing that you will be able to use

a tape measure s the way to find out what that limit is

the 67-72 GM trucks are what i started out on, my first and all time favorite GM truck ever is the 68 chevy

ive owne many of them from c-10's to c-30 duallies

very nice trucks, especially the 67 and 68's

good luck!

Best guess, take it to a local shop for a tire expert...everyone wants to be a mechanic(know it all)! lol...not that some people don't know, but at least this way if something goes wrong with the answer, someone can be held accountable.

I've always liked the classics: Cragar SS, American Torq-Thrust, slotted aluminum mags. Jegs has a 17-18 inch black steel wheel that would give you a nice NASCAR look.
