and when it was finished I couldn't find it. Can you help me with a step by step guideline? I'm not very computer wise. Thank you to all who answer!

They can be difficult to find. Check your desk top. (That's where your computer boots up) If it's not there, re download the file and when it asks where to download it to... click on desktop. That's always the easiest place to find it. After it downloads you can dbl click on it and it'll open and install. Then you can delete the icon from your desk top... after it's installed.

Internet Explorer asks you where to put it. Download it again and note the location.
Firefox downloads to the same place every time (I think the desktop is default). Look at the bottom of the download window and see where it says they go.
OR if the Canon site shows the file name do a search (Start -> Search, select "all files and folders" and put the file name in the file name box. Click search and when it appears double-click the file name.
