Whenever the grass is actively growing is a good time to mow it.

Our lawn and the surrounding forest are covered with about an inch of ice this morning. I can only dream about your lawn.
Go ahead and mow it when the grass toughens up a bit and starts to grow. You want to keep it short, so insects do not bite your children's legs.

Yes the weather we are having is like spring. Don't cut it too short though in case we get a ground frost.

Yes its okay but not too low cause if it gets frost it will damage the grass.

Well it doesnt tend to grow much in the cooler months but if yours is long then cut it.

Yes, do it now. Dont have the blades too low, put them on the highest setting.
