I have gone back to XP just as i had predicted!
Vista is a crap system why because it is a resource hungry system.it crashes moreas to compatibility issues.it is not backward compatible.it has also security holes more than you can poke a stick at.it is much slower in multi tasking than xp! Oh and none of your old drivers will work.
So why is it so extra crap? Can I get a refund?
Thanks...

Well I wouldn't go so far as to say it's crap, however, I (for other reasons) share your negative views on Vista. Forget the refund ... ain't gonna happen.
Sell it to someone who likes & is impressed by shiny objects.

I don't like the restriction of use involving copyright protected media.
I don't like it not letting me install programs it deems "unsafe" or believes that they infringe on copyright protection.

I do not like having to use "run as administrator" to allow programs to install because this gives the installation process much too many rights that it would not have under XP.
- this has actually been exposed as a huge security flaw.

I do not like myself for having been a sucker for "eye candy" & not realizing that there really isn't much Vista can do that XP MCE didn't already do for me (& more that Vista will not let me do).

Luckily I work for a PC manufacturer & did not have to pay for Vista.
I now am back to using XP Media Center Edition.

Probably due to Microsoft using their paying customers as Alpha (OK I'll be generous and say Beta) testers!!

If you have real issues, take it back for a refund.

There should be a law to illegalize people upgrading to a new operating system without any knowledge about the new OS at all. Of course the freaking drivers for windows xp wont work on vista. duh. Try to get a refund from the store you bought it at, troll.

I have heard vista is buggy especially when you upgrade to it. I have no idea if the system has a warranty or anything.

What kind of security issues did you run into. I can understand the other problems you faced, but I was intrigued by this one.
