You'll learn more by studying this and handing in the answers late than by copying the answers. The teacher doesn't need the answers because he already knows them. What he needs is for you to learn, which you will do by studying, not by cheating.

Question 1
a) this is simple subtraction

3x - 2y = 12 (Eq1)
3x + 5y = 33 (Eq2)

Eq2 - Eq1
3x + 5y - (3x - 2y) = 33 - 12
this equates to-:
3x + 5y - 3x + 2y
7y = 21
y = 3

Sub y=3 back into Eq1

3x - 6 = 12
3x = 18
x = 6 and y = 3

Cant be mithered with 2.
Question 3
Same as Question 1
Answer is x = 5 and y = 0

Question 4 (also same method as Qu.1)
Answer is C) x = -24 and y = -55

Question 5

(x - 1) (x + 1) (x - 3) (x + 3)

x^2 - x + x - 1 (x - 3) (x + 3)
x^3 - x - 3x^2 + 3 (x + 3)
x^4 + 3x^3 - 3x - x^2 - 3x - 3x^3 - 9x^2 + 3x + 9
x^4 - 10x^2 + 9
Answer A (again!)

3x - 2y = 12
3x + 5y = 33

~>

-3x+2y=-12
3x+5y=33
----------------
7y=21
y=21/7
y=3

5x + 4y = 25
3x + 4y = 15

~>

-5x-4y=-25
3x+4y=15
------------------
-2x=-10
x=10/2
x=5

3(5)+4y=15
15+4y=15
4y=15-15
4y=0
y=0/4
y=0

10x - 4y = -20
10x - 5y = 35

~>

-10x+4y=20
10x-5y=35
------------------
-y=55
y=-55

10x-5(-55)=35
10x+275=35
10x=35-275
10x=240
x=240/10
x=24

=(x - 1)(x + 1)(x - 3)(x + 3)
=(x^2-1)(x^2-9)
=x^4+-10x^2+9
