Oh, my gosh, I used to LIVE in Gun Barrell City. Its a very small town just outside of Mabank, Texas on Cedar Creek Lake. I only lived there a year and just couldn't handle it so we moved back to Dallas. How did you know about Gun Barrel????
LeRoy, no not a bad place to be in general - it's not as po-dunk as it sounds. But the high school there was ROUGH! They used to take girls into the girls bathroom, strip 'em naked, tie them spread eagle on the floor to the stalls and...well I will spare you the gory details on the rest.

Gun Barrel. It is not an official name though.
