Your computer may have come with a "Recovery" disk. If it does put the CD in the drive and it will run and ask questions. You can reinstall the drivers from that CD.

Hi. Now, if you dont have drivers then there is two ways of getting them. 1. From a friend with a similar computer like yours e.g HP Compaq dx6120MT. Secondly, you can get the drivers from your manufucturer's website. I would advice you to google the words "audio drivers" followed by the name of your machine and the model number.
Once you have downloaded them, then there is 2 ways to install them opn your machine. One is to run them and follow the steps for intallation. This is the option I woould recomend you to use. If they do not come with the user friendly installation procedure, then follow the following steps.
1. Right click on my computer and go to properties
2. Select the Hardware tab and then click on Device Manager
3. From the drop down list that appears click on the PLUS sign next to "Sound, Video and controllers"
4. Right click on one of the sound drivers and select Update.
5.Follow the steps

If this doesnt work, repeat step 5 but this time select uninstall.
Re-install the drivers afresh.

Hope this helps

Download them from your computer's website. If you have a custom computer then you will have to know who the motherboard maker is and download it from them.

No metter where you get them from hopefully they come with a setup program to automatically install them.

If not, then you need to right-click My Computer and select manage. There you should see the device manager. Inside that you'll see sound, video and game controllers. You can uninstall your current driver, or simply update it from that menu.

Good Luck
