I'm seventeen so I can’t say I know that much about the history of other politicians. But Chris Dodd seems like someone I would like to vote for. I just saw him on a news program where he actually spent time talking about the issues at hand. And not giving the rhetorical speech on how he is going to lead the country in a new direction. Give me reasons why Hillary, Barrack or John are the better vote.

Dodd is overshadowed by two "stars". We all know who they are. At least from a Democratic Party perspective. Dodd would make a good ambassador or cabinet member. His knowledge and experience is too valuable to lose, not only for the party, but the country. Again, America is in a trend where voters are more attracted to image than substance.

Well, you're asking two different questions here.

1. Why don't people talk about Dodd? Because no one is voting for him. He has a snowball's chance in hell of being elected. There is literally no chance that he will with the Dems' nomination.

2. Why are Hillary, Barak, or John the better vote? Well, I'm not a Democrat, but people see them as either better leaders, or more experienced, in the case of Hillary. Dodd simply has no name recognition.

I have never heard of Chris Dodd. There are no politician's out there that at this time would be best for our country. We have to listen to what they all say then try to choose who we feel is best. So far all the politicians are just telling us what we want to hear. We need to look at their past association's and how they have voted on what has already gone on record see how many times they follow through and how often they just go by the polls. We need to vote for who would be the best regardless whether they are Democrat or Republican. We may need an independent.. we just need to keep in mind our country is going to be run by who we put there, so lets pick the best one for the job.

It is way too early to make a choice!
It is the politicians "JOB" to get elected and it has been made clear in the last few elections that they will say and do anything they think will win them the election.
Trust? I have none in politicians and so it should be, it is important to listen to what they say and go back over their record and see if what they said this time and last time they ran are the same and if they made good on their promises in the past. To make an intelligent choice you must listen to them all; check them all out and disregard the party - religion - race and then after voting for someone it is your duty to hold their feet to the fire anytime they violate their promises and never let up...........they work for you.
In retail it is illegal for a company to make claims for their products or services that are not true.........but politicians DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW THOSE RULES! We have allowed them to say anything and do nothing or go back on their promises without legal recourse. Does this seem like a good way to run a country?

I don't think you can spend most of your Senate career being Ted Kennedy's barroom sidekick and expect people to take you seriously. This isn't to say that Hillary, Obama and Edwards are any more qualified.
It seems that the best way to "qualify" to be a Democratic presidential contender is to announce how soon you would pull the troops out of Iraq.
