Please do tell your mum. Just be offhand about it, say "Mum, I think I am going to start my periods soon as I am having real bad pains." Don't be embarrassed, she has periods too! If you are worried about your pains ask her to take you to GP as he may be able to give you some pain killers. If you can't tell your mum, do you have an older sister. Make sure you buy some sanitary towells. Get the Always ultra ones that are thin but very absorbant and make sure you have one in your bag whenever you go out as you could start any time, although you will probably start at night time. don't be tempted to try tampons yet until you are ready, but once you pluck up confidence for those, they are great, as long as you don't forget you have one in and leave it in there as that can cause infection. Bless ! I hope it all works out ok. It really is better to ask advice like that from people you know and not from strangers on the internet!!! Take Care x

It was hard for me to tell my mom too and that was only a couple of months ago. Just go up to her and tell her you're gonna be needing pads er whatever you use and she'll know. And yeah they can be a little painful sometimes. The most hardest thing is school. It kills to be having it and sitting in class so you should bring some in your backpack just in case. But the nurses office can give you some too. Get over the fear of telling your mom cause you'll have to tell her eventually.

You probably are going to start it very soon! Dont be afraid to talk to your mom, thats why she is there. She will probably love to fill you in and give you advise. I didnt tell my mom for a while and she was upset that I didnt share that "special" day with her. I dont know how she considered it special but moms do. I would just call her to your room and tell her how you feel, she will probably suggest that...if she doesnt ask her about it.

If your mom has not said anything then go to her now. You should not have to suffer alone. that is what mothers are here for. She needs to make sure everything is ready.
And tell her you have asked this question online and someone said that taking calcium, Magnizuim, and zinc together would help with the pain. She can check with your doctor to make sure it is ok. Sometimes pamprin or midol will help. For me it didn't. Your in pain go to her that is what she is there for.

First of all you need to know everything is okay. All of us were very embarrased when we started. I knew nothing about it when I started, so I thought I was dying. Funny now, but not then. Your mom probably thought you wouldn't start for another year or so. Tell her!!!!!, she will want to know and she will know what works best for her cramps and genetically the same will probably help you.

You are probably feeling moody anyway, so that will help her understand better too.

Tell you mum! She will be able to help you through it. Tell her you have some tummy pain and ask her if she thinks it might be your periods starting. You really need to get this checked out as it may be something else, it wont necessarily be your periods.

Talk to your mom, you definitely could be starting.
This is an important rite of passage and your mom would be bereft to not be part of it.
Do not be embarrassed and this is so not the place to share the info. What with all the trolls and lechers waiting to cause all kinds of grief.

You should definitely tell your mother. She should know. Try using a heating pad, too. If you tell your mother she can give you something for the cramps.
