I would like to get a wireless keyboard and mouse for a person in India, and on its box its written it is according to EU laws, or soemthing like it. Is there a possibility it wont work on computers used in India? What do i have to keep in mind when buying these things, what are the most important requerments about it?

Your computer must be equipped with wireless technology (such as BlueTooth) to be able to detect a wireless keyboard/mouse.

You ALWAYS have to install new Drivers and patches. If you don't, you'll be back here next week asking why your internet won't work and you'll be told to check for new drivers/patches. If you've got an Alienware, chances are it has a PCI-express slot or 2, but chances are 1 is already taken up by your graphics card, and you might not even have 2. PCI is pretty much the standard now, so it would be your safest bet. Look on Youtube for an instructional video on installing it, it should be the same as installing a graphics card (Which is ridiculously easy).

It should work fine because the receiver plugs usually into USB and USB is used everywhere its not propriatary to the United States or anything like that..

Yes. It will work.... so long as the PC has the necessary operating system, resources, & connections.
The laws refer to radio transmission regulations ... not to hardware limitations or compatibility.

the laws it refer to are radio frequency and transmit laws ... it will work if its a modern pc ...

it would not work with firewire if you had USB connection
