Joshua James is lovely, equally Kaitlyn is beautiful name (Irish in origin and means pure/virginal) most Katlyn's I know are gorgeous people (and I don't just mean aesthetically!)

Otherwise, I like the name Anna for a girl - it's short and sweet, and lets face it, its not one of those names that only suits one age range - anna is the name of a baby, a small child, a little girl, a yound lady, a woman and an elderly woman with white whispy hair! It's cute, sweet, sexy and innocent all at once - what do you think?

Best wishes and congrats on the pregnancy!

xx

I love the name Mia-Jai, but I had 4 boys so never got to use it, also my nephew has just had a baby and she is called Tilly Maria and it is so cute, I love different names and I think Daisy Phoebe lane sounds wonderful, not to keen on Kaitlyn but that just me, whatever the baby will be beautiful when you see her a name will pop into your head, go with what you think not anyone else, good luck with baby X

Personally, I like Kaitlyn better, but you're the one who will have to live with it. I also like to shorten the name, and decide if I could live with my kid calling herself Katie or Kate or Phoebs or Bee.

Your last name is also important. Look at initials. Will they spell something strange? Will your girl have the initials KKK or PIG or PUG? It seems strange, but thinking ahead about these things is important.

With Phoebe being sort of Greek, I also like Sophia or Sophie.

As for Kaitlyn, a very Anglo name, I also like Lindsey.

At any rate, this is a personal decision, and ultimately, don't let anyone talk the two of you into a name you don't really want.

And besides...it's just a name. Once you've named her, you'll love her, and the name will just fit. You might even change it when you see her cute little face staring up at you...hey, she doesn't look like a Kaitlyn! Let's go with LeToya!

One of my Granddaughter's names is Kaitlyn Cathleen. I called her Cat Cat for awhile. When she was tiny I sung to her as George Burns sang to Catie Couric on the Today show the last time he appeared on it. She is nearly 3 now and we call her Kaitlyn. If names could be credited for development I would certainly recommend it. She was walking at 8 months, talking in sentences at 11 months, potty trained at 13 months. Has a 19 month old brother that she teaches like she is an adult !

If you can't have Lily because of your surname, then isn't Kaitlyn just as much of a mouthfull Kaitlyn Lane ?

Personally although pretty, I think Phoebe has had its day too. Its so frustrating for me as my daughter is expecting my first grandchild and I really want to persuade her into my choice of names, but know I have to keep out of it, and if she ends up with something I don't like I'll have to lump it!! Naming a baby is really important to me whilst pregnant as I like names that are fairly unusual, my choices for my daughter are:

Poppy - Maya - Portia

Lily is a nice name. I think Phoebe is a bit of a dweeb name since you asked - sorry to anyone of that name! Kaitlyn would be OK except all the ones my mum gets at her nursery are all little terrors!

You have a GREAT boy name, so don't ruin that with a trendy silly girl name.

And I mean anything but Kaitlyn, a name that will be regretted as it is overdone, overused and stupidly spelled, as if it were bait, not kate! I simply hate that name.

I do like the name Kathryn, Katie, or even Kathleen if you simply must have that name -- go for the traditional name.

Get a girl name with some meaning, like your boy names.

Something traditional and old fashioned.

Naming children like pets is a bad idea!

Love the boys name, JJ for short. Just today I heard such a cute girl's name: Sasha.
What would you think of Sasha Lane?
Or Hollie Marie (Hollie Marie Lane)
Or Claudia Amy (Claudia Amy Lane)
Or Maya (Maya Lane)

I think they all have a nice ring to them, Phoebe for me will always remind me of Phoebe from friends and that type of personality, and Kaitlyn is being used alot lately.

Just my opinion, wait til he or she is born, and then a name will just come to you!
