The artist needs a lot more experience in drawing human faces, but with practice and teaching, the artist could become very skilled. The artist needs training in learning how to truly SEE what's really in front of him, instead of his brain deciding what's there.

I agree with the person before me. The first thing I would do is learn the proportions of the face. Go to the library or bookstore and there will propably be some good books to help you with that. Just focus on getting the face shape/size in relation to the features correct right now.

If it was done by a high school student, it shows some promise. If you're an adult, don't quit your day job.

Just looks like a very amateur/inexperienced portrait, something like an amateur police sketch.
