of 4 feet with a force that gave the ball an initial vertical velocity of 64feet per second.The equation (h = 16 Tsquare = 64 Tsquare + A)gives the height h of the baseball t seconds after the ball was hit. h(t)= -16t^2 +64t +4, is what you mean i'm guessing

set height equal to 4 and solve for t

-16t^2 + 64t +4 = 4
-16t^2 + 64t = 0
-8t(2t - 8) = 0
2t-8 = 0
2t = 8
t = 4

ball is at 4 feet when t = 0 (which is the initial height, so not the one you're looking for) and at t=4, which is when the ball is caught.

verify
h(0) = 0 + 0 +4 = 4
h(4) = -256 + 256 +4 = 4
