Absolutely, and at least one extra present if there is money to do it.

That's a tough one -- kind of like the kid who has a birthday on Christmas day or very close to Christmas day (he/she always gets short-changed on the birthday). I'd say your wedding anniversary is more important than Valentine's Day, so if he gets you an anniversary card you should be OK with that. If he doesn't do anything at all, take a cricket bat to his head. There's no excuse for him forgetting your anniversary if you got married on Valentine's Day.

You sound a bit insecure, I hate to say. Some people just don't think in terms of romantic anything. Why don't you take charge and do romantic things for him. A candlelight dinner, a shower for two, a walk in the rain, sexy underwear or nighties. My husband is very romantic, but it's not because he sends me cards or flowers. It's the way he looks at me and how that makes me feel. Just last night, I was dreaming about some strange thing. He asked what I was doing and I said I didn't know. He stroked my hair until I fell asleep. Pretty cool, huh?

It wouldn't surprise me if they sell combo cards recognizing your Valentine's Day anniversary. My mother's birthday is on Valentine's Day and there are lots of cards that combine both events. So if he got you a combo card, I'd say that would be all you should expect.

You should expect lots of love and respect from your husband. If he gets you one card or a hundred cards, it's not important. What is important is the love between the two of you and your day to day relationship. You won't find that in a card, flowers or a box of candy. Still, it's nice to get those things.

i would think that being married on valentines day would be the ultimate valentine, why be so critical and immature over a piece of folded paper with a poem that someone else wrote that is going to be given to hundreds of other people.
we dont even "do" valentines day for several reasons, the main one being we tell each other that we love "us" every day anyway, so why make a "special deal" out of it one particular day?

Yes. The same goes for people who are born on Christmas. They should get their birthday present AND their Christmas present, no skimping.
