No, but funny how everybody always picks on Arsenal when Chelsea set the trend
If Arsenal had £100m then maybe we too could have two or three good English players, or we could have a full XI with reserves who are better, for the same amount
End of the day, The English Premier League is a cut throat business, and I would rather see my team success with 11 foreigners than go down with 11 Englishmen

Well to answer this Q you should see the Arsenal funds, Arsenal before this is a average team in finance compare to Man U, Liverpool, and Chelsea before the new stadium.
And very few English teenagers are very talented and I have no doubt that Rooney, Lampard, Lennon etc. are talented players but English players are very expensive, e.g. Fabregas move to Arsenal for just 500,000 pounds compare to Wallcott 7m+. Even English pundits agree that most of English teenagers fat and not that talented enough(hey don't be mad to me, talk to the pundits). But Arsene Wenger once said Many of English youth in his system will become the next big thing. Don't be sad, time will come.

Y are you saying this now most games they dont have a englishman playing in there squad of 26 27 players they have 2 english players that is a discrase in my eyes when you look at the other teams from the big 4 you have the best englishmen around

Liverpool - Gerrard
Chelsea - Lampard, Terry, J Cole, A Cole
Man U - Rio, Rooney, Neville

There shouldnt be a limit tho i think there should be a maximum squad size say 30 and a minimum english requirment say 10.

Why spend so much money on an English player when you can a foreign player with the same abilities, skill, and talent for a fraction of the price?

'The (Arsenal) defence which set a new record, after going ten consecutive games without conceding a goal on route to the UEFA Champions League 2005-06 final, cost Arsenal less than £5m to assemble.'

Unfortunately the game has become more about money - and to get money you need to win. Arsenal seem to think that to win they need all foreign players.

While I beleive having some foreign players in the English league is a good thing, as it brings different styles to the game and should help the skill level of British players increase, there has to be limits - perhaps four or five foreign players on the team?

Cricket has a rule like this, why can't this be implemented in football.

Why do you people care about nationalities?! If you understood anything about the game you would care about quality of football, not the passports they carry... Don't we enjoy seeing Henry, Fabregas, Gilberto, Van Persie, etc? There are tons of teams where English people can play, but if you want to play for a major powerhouse you need to be one of the best in the world...
