i lost £2,000 on the horses today and i need to get £500 back to pay my mortgage. i dont want my wife and kids to lose their house

Not a hope - you're a congenital idiot (or a liar). Ask your wife to take over the finances immediately, and to only allocate you enough money every day for lunch.

It's not £500 you need but to accept loosing this kind of money is a big problem and get to Gambling Annon. However, only if you really want to stop the problem can they help you. Don't read this and deny there is a problem because no normal person, more so with a wife and kids would behave like this. Next step tell your wife and if you are still in one piece contact your mortgage lender and get advice on the best way out of the situation. They can be very understanding but don't try making a habit of it. Failing that seek advice from a Money Advice Agency (Citizens Advice will direct you if you are not aware of anywhere local) DON'T be tempted to borrow money to pay your mortgage you will only land yourself in deeper trouble. I have tried to answer you up to 5 times and every time I sent the message by some fault of mine, I have lost it, then I thought it is only a question why should I bother. I bother because I understand the one thing I can not understand is if the mortgage was only 500.00 why did you gamble 2000.00. at this moment you dont need me to preach to you all I can say is if you are in a life that gambling 2000.00 in a day id acceptable there must be so called freinds that have had similar probs that may help. Either way they will not take back you house today, what you have to do is not lay your prob on anyone in your family, it is not their fault, juat find a way to put it right. until the next time!!!! Sorry about the spelling mistakes but after 5 times of trying i can not be bothered to correct them. Know what I mean/

You should have thought of the about that before you went gambling. I would tell your wife what has happened and then get on the phone to gambling annonymous for some serious help. I don't know of any get rich quick schemes, well nothing that is legal anyway.

Get a loan from a good friend, & pay them back gradually - & don't gamble!!! Alternatively, get a group of friends to sponsor you for answering questions on here - like the scoring system, £2 for every answer, £10 for a "Best Answer" - I'm not joking, try anything.

Are you saying you lost 2000-pounds , which is about 100-dollars in American money. either way. a sure way is to go to friends and family members. tell them your problem, borrow what they can give. Then think about seeking help for your gambling problem.

I have no compassion for people who blow their money and then ask for help!
