A number of ways to do this:
1. Go to the dell web site and ask their tech support - they may provide this info.
2. Go to the dell web site do a search for your model "dimension e521" and see if they provide the product and tech specs. which might include a breakdown of the mother board.
3. Ask the tech support at the retailer you bought it from - example Geek Squad at Best Buy.
4. If your computer savy - open your computer and check the mother board . Info is stenciled on the mother board. Write down all the info from the motherboard for future reference. You can get more info on the motherboard from the manufacture's web site (ASUS, MSI.....ect.).

Dell could have put any number of different mobos in that particular model. The only way to find out for sure is visit the site and look yours up.

Go to http://support.dell.com
Go to the Warranty section
Enter the Express Service Code (a 7 to 8 digit code on the sticker on the computer)
Click on the Original Configuration tab
It will list all the information about system board, processor, hard drive, etc. for your PC.

the position your memory plugs into the mum board there are tiny little connection pins that contact the memory connectors. sounds like there no longer creating an excellent sufficient connection there attempt searching for bent searching connections on the motherboard.
