I'd like to check the history of my house, is there a website that would be any good? I live in Petersfield in Hampshire in England.

If you have the deeds, it will have a log of the previous owners I think, or may be get in touch with the Land Registry.

If your house was built before 1901, you can go to the UK Census site and look up who was living at the address on census night 1901 (and you can also look at all previous census returns if your house is even older). You might then want to try and find out something about the family who lived there on that date, or earlier dates. You can use genuki.com or ancestry.com for this.
