Look for this book:

Programming in Visual Basic 6.0 by Julia Case Bradley and Anita C. Millspaugh
Published by Irwin McGraw-Hill
ISBN # 0-07-233513-0

I taught myself VB using this book. It's extremely easy to read and follow examples.

I like http://vbcity.com/

It has tutorials, and lot's of topics covered in the forums, not just for VB, but for most of the dotnet technologies. As mentioned above, the MSDN site is a good resource too.

A good site to start with is always http://msdn.microsoft.com otherwise i suggest that you first buy a book and use it, after you have learned all the book has to give, you can till use it as a referents.

Regarding which book to buy, that depends on how you are going to use it. I suggest that you check out the books in your local bookstore.

You would need to know what edition of VB you have, i like VB 2003.net because i find it the easiest, but you would need to know what one you have in order to get the right tutorial
