Yes it was Justin Fashanu, Brian Clough bought him as a replacement for Trevor Francis in 1981 for a Million Pounds, but his career went on a downward spiral when Brian Clough found out he was gay, and barred him from even training with the side.In August 1982 he was loaned out to Southampton and in December 1982 Brian Clough`s Million Pound Footballer was sold to Notts County for 150,000.
