Some people think it "sucks" (whatever that's supposed to mean in the real world) because at school they suddenly find they are subject to certain rules - like discipline, and certain procedures - like learning, which requires something called "Paying attention to the teacher" and "Doing as instructed".
Some people don't like it for those reasons and then go on to find a lot more reasons of their own. Rather a pity really.

it sucks because you can not cope with it. You are not getting hold of the interesting things. SO you have to know what interests you and how can you be the BOSS of it. Dude, still then school will always suck. You just have to find a way to coat it with sugar

If you think school sucks wait until you have to work for a living...no spring break 2 or 3 weeks holidays a year, bills to pay...you get the picture....enjoy it while you can..and get the best overall all around eductaion you can, because when you do need to work, you will need that education...

Good luck in life....

school sucks because its like being alone in the jungle with inbred savages all around.

school is probably the harshest most hostile environment most folks will ever encounter, and as a rule, we do it alone. its not like the techers have a clue as to what really happens, as theyre all in teh staff room drinking themselves to an early grave or smoking...

school gets better as we get older and realise its about results and perfomance, and teh thicko window lickers are in remedial crayoning and kept well out of the way.

i had an iq of 136 at 14... i know more than most of my teachers, did it make for an easy time? not a chance, the teachers hated me. i could do math in my head faster than they could look it up...

i hated school, i walked out on friday and started work on monday, that was 35 years ago... and now my daughters suffer teh same sort of grief... but theyre really bright, they dye their hair blonde and play stupid, so teacher doesnt feel threatened, or intimidated... and all 3 of them are at the top of their classes, at the top of the school... and they hates it as well...

It only sucks if you don't take advantage of the wonderful education you are being provided with.

Just think, if you mess this up, you'll be messing up the *whole* of the *rest of your life*.

Honestly, it's better than you think it is. When you leave, you may miss it, unless you are one of those kids who are just tortured by their classmates relentlessly.

It's weak points-
-it's boring sometimes
-it's long
-it's a conveyor belt
-kids are ridiculous half the time
-you lose some of yourself conforming to, or reacting to, your peers year after year
-the whole popularity thing

It doesn't, you are missing the point of it all. School is there for you to take advantage of it. If you don't, you too can be flipping burgers for the rest of your life.

Maybe you don't like the rules... the subjects you are doing..... your friends.... your teachers...?

No matter how crap you find it, just try to buckle down and do well, it will give you more options in the future.
