I wouldn't worry too much. Hormones & periods don't always work like clockwork. Anything as simple as stress or a cold can upset things.
If the pain gets worse, or your period gets extremely heavy then go to the GP.

Same thing happened to me last month, its a bit scarey at first isn't it? I agree with the last comment, even on the pill periods aren't like clockwork and always exactly the same. I was scared at first and went to see my nurse, she told me everything was fine, but i obviously can't guess for you hun.
If you really do feel worried about it then book an appointment with your nuse (or who ever you see for a repeat prescription of the pill) and have a chat, they are there for you to talk to.
try not to fret too much, take some paracetamol, have a cup of tea and some chocolate or a nice big slice of cake, and take a little time to look after yourself whilst you're not feeling too good.

I am going to say no only because you want to check with a doctor anytime you feel some abnormal is going on. If you have been on the pill for a year, I would venture to say that the pill is not the cause of your troubles.
Have you thought about getting the shot? At least you dont have to worry about periods.

Unless your flow is very heavy, or lasts longer than usual, or if you pass clots, it is probably nothing to worry about. I used to have terrible cramps, and tried all of the over-the-counter drugs, and several prescription drugs. The only thing that ever helped me was Aleve (it was a prescription drug then) Don't use Midol or anything like that- they contain caffiene- the first thing your doctor will tell you to avoid if you are cramping. Hope that helps

there could be any number of reasons why ur period is heavier than normal...especially stress..ur hormones could also be a little out of sync for some reason..unless you are passing large clots or ur bleeding really heavily i would just wait for it to pass if i was you..put ur feet up and relax if possible

Ooo, I have no idea what it could be, why don't you give NHS direct a quick call and ask one of their nurses?
