in fact all countries should follow the netherlands in bringing up their kids. ALthough USA is the greatest country in the worl it has a lot to learn. It stands second last on the list of child happiness. see the likn below.
I think Bush would have never been such a moron if he was brought up in Holland. What I want to say is parental care is important in how a child turns out to be in the future.

I don't think he'd be a better person, because I don't think he is human at all.

Holland & Barrett and Julian Graves I think are the two best known health food stores but a lot of supermarkets now sell many of the itmes you can buy in the health food shops. Keep your eyes peel and shop around for bargains - they probably have websites so you could compare them to say, Tesco or somewhere before buying stuff from them.

He wouldn't be president of the US so we wouldn't be having this discussion. If he were born in Holland he couldn't be pres. under current constitution. If he were born in US and family moved to Holland it is doubtful his father would have been head of CIA or rich enough from the oil business to become president himself, and so GWB would not have become pres.

I think GWB was a spoiled, rich kid who never had to do a real days work in his life. He has transferred his father's name and wealth into the presidency (not the first time this has happened, hopefully the last) and his risen above his level of imcompetence. Not sure if that makes him a moron but it has not been good for the USA or the world.

As to parental care, of course that is paramount. Parents must ensure their children are safe, educated, and able to deal with the world when they grow up. From reading the article I am not sure if Holland has the answer. The young man who was unhappy because he couldn't afford beer and cigarettes after he turned 18. His parents doted on him as a child but not sure they prepared him for life in the real world.

Happiness does not always mean succes despite what the self help gurus want to tell you. Being able to accomplish something important to you (and hopefully the rest of the world) can be the key to happiness.

Example: I am trying to beat the top level of Halo (legendary?) but beating it will not make me happy for the rest of my life. Seeing my son grow up to be a competent, well adjusted and educated individual ready to survive and thrive in the real world will make me extremely happy. That along with achieveing a few private and personal goals will mean that somewhere after 90+ years (hopefully) I will be ready for the dirt nap. Although I like the idea of "skidding sideways into the grave with a beer in one hand and a body thoroughly used up" (not sure who, if anyone said that) I hope to have left the world better than I found it. That said I am not sure any one individual can undo the harm GWB has done, it will be a group effort. I hope the world is up to it.

And live and work in Holland, I suppose. Unfortunatelly, he is Americn and live in America! A single report on child welfare does not make the country be the best all the time and every time. If that was true, all citizens of Holland would have been far better off if they were borne and living in the USA! Its a fallacy.

All the best!/

Never underestimate the stupidity of George Bush. Even if he grew up in Holland he would still be a moron. You understand mental retardation, yes?

I saw this week that religious extremists in Holland were pushing for a law to remove hundreds of words from the dictionary. . . which would probably suit Bush who doesn't know too many words.
