No. Bear in mind that we evolved in Africa, in areas where it's pretty warm all the time. There was therefore no need to hibernate, but this does explain why we're not particularly comfortable with cold weather and short days. It's only thanks to our discovery of fire that we can survive here at all.

No. Humans did not hibernate. Our bodies, now and way back then require a rather constant source of fuel.
I suggest your tired feeling during cold weather may be due to psychological reasons.

No, humans by definition do not hibernate however they would have got up when the sun did and gone to sleep when it went down so in the depths of winter they would have spent about 20 hours a day sleeping. Tiredness in cold weather is normal, but its more usually attributed to lack of sunshine not the cold. Tiredness form cold alone is due to lack of energy, ie not eating enough to keep you warm etc.

I know some ppl that appear to be hibernating today ... even when they are up and about.
Seriously, it's unlikely that hominids ever had this ability. The environment wouldn't have provided the world they needed to evolve to this. If anything, they would have had to learn to get by w/ less sleep considering all the nocturnal feeders and their lack of adequate shelter.
Ppl that freeze to death experience drowsiness before they expire. Perhaps that explains your soporific state.

Humans have never hibernated, and humans were not around millions of years ago.
Take a look at the scientific evidence for yourself.
If humans have been around for millennia then where are all the human remains and evidence of human habitation?

Hi. Hibernation is a complex physical process, but it is possible. We do sleep and there is no limit that I know of to how much we could. But that is not hibernation.

No, they used to put on an extra layer of fur and spend the day warming up by chasing their dinner around trying to catch it. They probably had a bit more body hair too (some people I know haven't evolved that much).

For once I agree with chas_chas. Humans have not been around for millions of years.
They have only been around (and here chas_chas will disagree) for about 200,000 years.
And (to answer chas_chas' question), there is evidence of human habitation ... as they were doing things like making tools and burying their dead ... and we *do* have evidence of this.
