what do you mean by "rock and roll".....

more specifically, what era of music and what bands in particular?

but people don't "dance" to rock music most of the time... it is more like thrashing... and that is better done at live shows... which is mainly where rockers go... (rock, meaning modern rock)....

That's a great list, although my approach'd be to also include 1950's rock'n'roll and rockabilly. Other than that, there are a few 1960s to 1980s songs I miss, like: Louie Louie by The Kingsmen You Really Got Me by The Kinks Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys Oh Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison The Weight by The Band Whipping Post by Allman Brothers Band Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top Pride & Joy by Stevie Ray Vaughan and there are others that wouldn't have made my list, but I guess it's very much a matter of personal taste. I also noticed you included Sweet Home Alabama twice. Anyway, great job!
