I get so sad watching and hearing this stuff, but I have to in order to educate myself. And the one of the things I can do is to spread the word. These videos came from the PETA website. Please if you can write letters, spread these links, spread the word. Do SOMETHING!!!! This cruelty needs to be stopped and there are so many better alternatives. Alternatives to clothing, to food, alternatives to testing on animals. So many things people can do, and most just turn their head. Please take a minute to do something, even if it's forwarding one of these videos. Who wouldn't????

I don't care which website or which organization posted these videos, just that they give ways to fix them. And links to the people to write to.

There are hundreds of cruelty-free (vegan) shampoos and every other kind of body care item, along with down alternative for pillows and comforters, and an alternative for every other item you 'can't live without'.

Also, PETA does NOT "want every animal euthanized? Let's think for two seconds about that. Why in the world would they constantly advocate a cruelty-free vegan lifestyle (which causes the least animal suffering and death) if they wanted to kill all the animals? That makes NO SENSE. Yes, PETA advocates euthanasia in many cases. Here is a quote from Wikipedia -

"PETA has several programs helping cats and dogs in poorer areas of southeastern Virginia and northern North Carolina. It has spayed or neutered over 30,000 cats and dogs for reduced price or for free in the last few years. The organization comes to the aid of neglected dogs and cats who are severely ill and injured, and pursues cruelty cases."

"They offer free humane euthanasia services to counties that kill unwanted animals via gassing or shooting. PETA also offers free euthanasia for severely ill/dying companion animals when euthanasia at a veterinarian is unaffordable. PETA paid for and built a cat shelter in a North Carolina county. Each year the organization builds and sets up hundreds of sturdy dog houses, with straw bedding, for dogs that are chained outside all winter. PETA also creates and airs numerous public service announcements and billboards urging people to help control the pet overpopulation through spaying/neutering, and adopting animals from shelters instead of purchasing cats and dogs from pet stores or breeders."

"PETA is against the no kill movement and euthanizes the majority of unwanted animals that are given to them. It recommends euthanasia for sick and dying animals, for certain breeds of animals (e.g. pit bull terriers) and in certain situations for unwanted animals in shelters: for example, for those living for long periods in cramped cages. Ingrid Newkirk has said: "Our service is to provide a peaceful and painless death to animals who no one wants." PETA recommends the use of an intravenous injection of sodium pentobarbital provided it is administered by a trained professional. The organization says that it takes in feral cat colonies with diseases such as feline AIDS and leukemia, stray dogs, litters of parvo-infected puppies, and backyard dogs, and as such it would be unrealistic and unkind to operate a no-kill policy. Newkirk has said: "It is a totally rotten business, but sometimes the only kind option for some animals is to put them to sleep forever."

No organization as massive as PETA can be perfect all the time. And while their intentions are good they do attract nut jobs. Just like with Islam, the radical minority does not represent the whole. I personally am vegan and support no-kill shelters, but I also understand that on a large scale this is not always the best policy for every animal. Peaceful euthanasia is far more merciful than spending lonely years in a tiny, cramped shelter cage. To me the most important video has been Meet Your Meat. I became vegan the night I saw it and have been ever since. My body thanks me, and I feel good about myself every single day knowing I'm not directly contributing to any of that UNNECESSARY cruelty. As you will learn, death is often the least of these animals' suffering. Let's stop supporting that! It's easier than you think, and the rewards are endless...

Actually, PETA does kill pets because "there are too many of them." Remember the PETA trial last year? PETA terrorists killed 92 adoptable kittens and puppies and threw them away! LITERALLY! In a DUMPSTER! That is completely unacceptable! If you want to live a life of using non-animal products, feel free to do so! There are many alternatives out there for you! However, do not be mislead by organizations such as PETA. They have crossed the line one too many times and are being investigated by the Feds for their activities. I am enclosing some links about the PETA Trial. I am not trying to sway you one way or another, but just remember that you can not trust just one source because you only get one point of view. I am against testing on certain animals (dogs, monkeys, cats) because they are higher on the evolutionary scale and while I am sure rats have feelings too, we would not have any of the medical advancements we have today if it was not for them. This is a very good article, it is about the difference between Animal Welfare and Animal Rights

Are you enjoying your soapbox? Yes cruelty to animals for a new makeup is absurd but for life saving medicines and learning how to save our race is more important. You are on top of the food chain. I am sure you were saved by antibiotics, a particular surgery or whatever-thank an animal. If you can sit there and not eat meat, no animal byproducts-eggs,butter, milk etc, no leather, no wool, not pollute the air and retreat into some back woods then I may listen to you. But I doubt it. Pick your soapbox carefully...

You may want to look at some stuff about PETA the people that hate it have to say to get a more rounded perspective of what you are pushing. The up front arguments PETA make sound wonderful, but they have some horrible ideas of how to "FIX" some of the problems that sound way more cruel then the "problem".

I have real problems with people that follow any org with such extreamist views. Think for yourself, don't let them do the thinking for you, following blindly is how terrorists are made........

Why do you allow this to occur, you have got to recognize when he'll elevate your shirt so why stand there and let him do it. Inform him you don't adore it (or possibly you do you) and stroll away from him asking him why does he look ahead to your mother to be out of the residence/room earlier than he starts to interfere with your clothing. The best way you write you appear to be given that that is average ! Good it might be in case your mother was once in the room whilst and he or she authorized it however she's not and you have not mentioned one word about seeking to stop him which leaves the query as to why your enabling it to happen within the first place you have got to be having fun with it and if that is so then why did you hassle to come on this discussion board and ask the query.

I'm not sure what we are supposed to be answering. If it's about animal abuse then tha is awful and I wish it could stop but what can we do? we're the little guys. I know people try saying even if we are little guys we can beat those big guys in that industry but I've tried, I've tried many times with them roundig up the wild horses of Nevada and putting them in dog food but I haven't been able to get through to them that what they are doing is barbareouse.
