when I was young it was always shown on tv before the game! Now your lucky if they get back before the kickoff or opening pitch!

Yeah I think that is rather stupid as well. Actually if you watch NASCAR not only do you STILL get the National Anthem you also can, and this is somewhat amazing, still hear the Pre-Race Prayer. I know the teams pray, if they do, in their locker room and so yeah you aren't going to get that. It's just somewhat surprising that NASCAR still gets the prayer shown with the way network TV seems to be moving.

When someone figures out how to make money off of the National Anthem, then you'll see it on TV more often.

The National Anthem doesn't sell chips and beer. Although, I do get thirsty just listening to it.
