Is it only Steve Maclaren who thinks David Beckham isn't even worth thinking about for a place in the England Team. Most World Class coaches say that they would certainly consider him and English results since Maclaren arrived and Beckham was booted out certainly suggest something is missing.

Becks should definitely be in the England team, anyone who knows anything about football shouldn't even question that!!

yes it's true that in the last couple of tournaments he didn't perform that well, but people seem to forget he was playing with injuries!!

but there has never been any doubt in his performances in the qualifying stages...if it wasn't for him we probably wouldn't even have made it to the last 2 tournaments!

we have some very good mid-fielders...but people always have off days,so i think Becks,Lampard,Gerrard and Lennon should all be in the squad, then if one is having an off day he can be taken off and replaced with one of the others.Lamps for example hasn't played very well for England recently...but does that make him a bad player? personally my 1st choice from the 4 would be Gerrard & Lennon, then play maybe Becks for one half and Lamps for one,a bit of variation in midfield is what England need!!

I agree! He adds cohesion to a team even though he has seen better days he has the 'F' factor. And whilst I admire John Terry he does not have the umph that David Beckham has.

Why do people doubt his ability when he has just signed a deal worth megga bucks. Do we think that people would invest in him if he were not a the most charsmatic person in football at the present time.

He is not necessary the best but he has the Feel good factor necessary to give a whole team confidence and thereby bringing out the best in individual players and team members.

Davis Beckham will always have my support!

Will you all give it a rest about Beckham he is not up to the job any more he will not last 90 Min's he hardly gets a game for Madrid and will soon be playing football equivalent to Sunday league. When he was getting picked everybody wanted him gone it is just typical of people in this country to all jump on the band waggon whine it is not going there way so if he is picked again do you really think it will solve all England's problems we need others back first like the 2 cole's and hargreaves then we can judge englands and mcclarens performances Beckham is now a third rate player there are so many more options then him

I think he should be in the squad,I think the way Maclaren went about dropping him wasn't the best public relations event(was he still employing Max Clifford then )I don't think he is a traitor and he always gave 100% thats more than can be said about many who played against Spain the other night.

No he's not the only one - England hasnt been a proper team since Beckham got on the squad. He's not a team player its a team sport.

Look at the Euro '96 squad they were proper manly footballers who played and partied together. This showed on the pitch as well. Now it is all about the latest haircuts thanks to Beckham Enterprises.

The man makes me angry. England arent getting results because McLaren is a **** manager and we should have got O'Neill instead.

MLS=Sunday League? You are sorely mistaken.

If you look at English Football...Apart from the top 5/6 clubs...the rest of the table is just average...The MLS...like any other league has its dominant teams...average teams and absolute crap teams.

The key is that its an expanding market...a rapidly expanding market. The players are for the most part young, fast and play the game at pace most EPL fans would love. Your judgement of the league is based on no exposure. With Becks arrival in the States you will see more of the standard and realize that this is the BEST move he could have made...both for himself and the MLS.

As for his part on the England squad...people...move on! Let him go. The future on the right is in Aaron Lennon or SWP....McClaren is a joke though.

Beckham always gave 100% for us and i think its a case of maclaren just not liking him ?, a bit like when graham taylor didn't pick gary lineker who was a scoring machine at the time !.

With his passing, goals and free kicks he should be in the squad !!.

Beckham should be in the squad at the moment not the team even if its just for his experience, know one can cross like him and his work rate is up there with the best

It's a disgrace that Beckham isin't in the England starting eleven. He adds so much to the team from both open play and of course set pieces, as he is still one of the worlds top free kick takers.

He's a Great player, people say he's past it but that's rubbish !, you don't need to run at 100 MPH to be able to pass a ball or score goals, when we played Spain i didn't see anyone with half the talent or commitment as beckham ?.
